Welcome to the Forsyth Sports
Performance Institute
From our team to yours – we provide a broad scope of services for athletes. From exercise regimens to computerized motion analysis, we work with you in a targeted, personalized program designed specifically to help you reach the top of your game.
Motion Analysis Lab
In our state-of-the-art motion analysis lab runners can look at form, analyze body mechanics and truly get technical when it comes to reaching peak performance. Using video motion capture technology, a licensed physical therapist will review your range of motion, gait, form, and alignment and provide feedback on corrective measures to improve speed and range of motion. We will review your movement patterns using video tracking with stop action review, to allow focused individual analysis for every client. A video copy of your session will be provided to every client for home review.
Cost: $200 for full session
Sports Conditioning Program
Our sports conditioning program is available to anyone who wishes to enhance their current performance level, no matter what sport. Open to ages 12 and up - from triathlon to 5K, dance to soccer, and everything in between. Athletes work with a Certified Athletic Trainer in one-hour sessions which are uniquely designed to meet your individual goals. Participants begin with a full performance assessment to determine current fitness levels. Sessions will include:
Specialized athletic conditioning programs designed with your individual targets in mind
Personalized exercise regimen to improve strength, flexibility, and agility
Full fitness regimen targeted to help achieve performance goals for all levels and abilities
One-on-one consult and nutrition information for all stages of training and recovery with a licensed dietician
Motivation and recovery tips from a professional Sports Psychologist
Conditioning packages are available for both individuals and small groups, and range from one to twelve sessions. Individual sessions with our Athletic Trainer are $60. Discounts available for small groups of up to 3 athletes who are working towards a common goal, and are at similar performance levels.
Certified Athletic Trainers
Athletic Trainers are specialized healthcare providers trained in athletic injury prevention and recovery in addition to fitness. They have achieved a bachelor's degree or higher education in athletic training, are nationally certified and are licensed by the State of North Carolina.
As part of a partnership with Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools, Forsyth Regional Orthopaedic Center provides 6 certified athletic trainers who work with sports teams at local high schools. Our lead athletic trainer and his counterpart recently received an award for their work.
