Ankle Sprain

A common and painful injury that is caused by twisting the ankle.

Achilles Tendon Injury

Most often caused by running or jumping (basketball, jogging, etc.) that strains the tendon (Achilles tendonitis) or causes a rupture.

Bunion

An enlargement of the bone or tissue at the base of the big toe, with causes ranging from ill-fitting shoes to inherited bone structure.

PLANTAR FASCIITIS

The most common form of foot pain, this is the inflammation of the thick tissue on the bottom of the foot. Risk factors include long distance running, sudden weight gain, flat feet or high arches, or wearing shoes with poor support. The most common symptom is sharp pain in the morning when you take your first steps.

Stress Fracture or Muscle/Tendon Strain

Caused by excessive physical activity – such as long-distance running or intensive training – that puts continuous stress on the foot and ankle.

Shin Splints

The common name for pain created by a stress to the shin bone (tibia) that can be caused by excessive physical activity, athletic shoes that fit improperly, or other factors.
